Ferroviário, a space created to welcome several cultural, leisure and
sport activities for the railway workers, which has been honoured as a bar /
rooftop of one of the most amazing sights in Lisbon since 2010, has now free
Jazz concerts on Sundays at its space in Santa Apolónia. In a few months, Sundays at the Ferroviário have
become a relevant cultural offer. The curator João Lencastre brought, and will
keep on bringing, a diverse jazz programme, formed by not only famous and
popular musicians, but also by great revelations.
Diogo Vida, André Santos, Marco Franco, Francisco Brito and Akiko Pavolka Band lead these free Jazz sessions in February. Pedro Branco and João Sousa are the responsible for the Jam Sessions at the rooftop. Ferroviário consists of two independent stages, an open air rooftop of approximately 500m2, a bar and a concert hall. Its new programme stands out city emerging talents, of different areas such as music, cinema, photography, painting, plastic arts, gastronomy, etc.
