Having collaborated in several newspapers he is currently a columnist for the Atlantico and Politique Internationale magazines. In the book, the journalist argues that Westerners – from the outset the Portuguese – must face the greatest challenge that is currently facing them: the virus of collective hatred, mirror of the aversion that are targeted by modern totalitarianisms. The book tries to show that, without being perfect, the West has objective reasons to be proud of its history and values.
