Published by Associação Cultural EMERGE, whose mission it is to
promote contemporary art and, in particular, the work of new artists, Portuguese Emerging Art 2018 (PEA2018)
is a project based on a philosophy of exposing all artistic praxis in the
universe of Portuguese arts, revealing the best being done by the hands of new
Portuguese artists, indoors and outdoors. The works of 45 artists, covering the
fields of digital art/new media art, artistic ceramics, drawing, sculpture,
photography, artistic installation, performance art, painting, sound art and
video art, were selected by a jury of recognised merit. Some of the selected
artists were awarded by partners of the association.
