Inaugurated on August 23rd at Caramulo museum, in Caramulo, Tondela, the temporary exhibition Supercars, which was prepared for more than one year, will be open until October 1st and, judging by the number of people who have visited the exhibition since its opening (600, on weekdays, and about a thousand, over the weekend), is being a success. The show is «dedicated to the creations of the ‘haute Couture’ of the car industry» and with a «luxury set» that counts with car makes that are rarely seen in Portugal, such as the one that is considered the world’s first supercar, the Lamborghini P400 SV Miura, or some Iconic models from Ferrari and Bugatti. According to the direction of Caramulo Museum «This has been the hardest exhibition so far» «for the difficulty in bringing together a set of rare and valuable automobiles. These are very exclusive models, which are rarely shown, and that is the reason why bringing them all to Caramulo, even for a short period of time, has been a great challenge».
Among others, the exhibition can count with «Ford GT, a model that was launched to celebrate the 40 years of the mythical GT40, the McLaren 675 LT MSO, one of the makes’ most exclusive models, the Lamborghini Aventador SV and the most powerful 911 produced by Porsche, the GT2 RS». Caramulo Museum considers that one of the stars of this exhibition will be «The one that Ferrari calls as its most ambitious project, the LaFerrari, an exclusive and valuable model with 963 HP and a maximum speed of 349 Km/h, of which there is only one specimen in Portuguese soil».
