Created by Ensemble
and Palmilha Dentada Theatre and produced by Ensemble – Sociedade de Actores,
Casa das Artes de Vila Nova de Famalicão and TNSJ, Ter Razão is a dramatic text written and rehearsed by Ricardo Alves
that will be on stage at Carlos Alberto Theatre, in Oporto, from 8th till 17th
March. Ter Razão is a provocative
serious fun about people and their daily lives. The stage is turned into a city
where a roller table can be a car, and a reception desk bell can be a horn, where
we have to deal with car parking problems, tremendous traffic jams and people
who happily argue. The playwright and director Ricardo Alves tells us the same neurotic and repetitive story, which unfolds
in different points of view. Who’s right? Who can’t stop being right?
Ter razão was the reunion of actors of different generations and with different qualifications. - Emília Silvestre, Jorge Pinto, Ivo Bastos, Teresa Arcanjo – who enjoy what they do and do it, in spite of the vicissitudes, in a professional amusing way. It’s an unlikely meeting that ended in a happy discovery, where two apparently irreconcilable companies, Ensemble – Sociedade de Actores and Palmilha Dentada Theatre, share together risks and laughs.
