With a priviliged location, in Lisbon’s historical centre, right between
Martim Moniz and Campo Mártires da Pátria, the carpenter shops of São Lázaro
will open to the public, after having been close for refurbishment, with a
programme focused on contemporary visual arts, music, theatre and dance, cinema
and gastronomy.
This reopening will be marked by a week of celebration (25th, 26th and 27th January) which will hold a programme that gathers several initiatives so that it reaches its goals: becoming a place of creation, a shelter and the presentation of multidisciplinary projects, allowing its interaction with the local communities and their cultural heritage.
The carpenter shops of São Lázaro, whose 1800 m2 divided in two floors and a rooftop, allow the development of a partnership and the crossing of synergies with the most diverse entities, state and private, business and membership, under the perspective of creativity and innovation, which help create opportunities for a more sustainable and fair development of societies.
