Casa de Santo Amaro - Azeite único de um olival centenário

Casa de Santo Amaro - Unique olive oil from a centuries-old olive grove

The story of Casa de Santo Amaro began in 1687, now in the hands of the eighth generation of the family. With approximately 165 hectares of olive groves, with approximately 30,000 trees of native varieties, the history of this olive oil is truly felt in the land, as we find approximately 50 hectares of centuries-old olive groves here.

«The variety of its native olive trees distinguishes the different oils.»

The variety of its native olive trees distinguishes the different olive oils. The characteristic terroir of the Trás-os-Montes region, the dedication and professionalism of the entire team, and the commitment of Francisco Ataíde Pavão, an olive oil specialist and creator of all the House's olive oil blends, make this olive oil unique and special. All olive oils are DOP Trás-os-Montes Olive Oil certified, including the distinguished Casa de Santo Amaro Prestige, Casa de Santo Amaro Praemium, Casa de Santo Amaro Grande Escolha, Casa de Santo Amaro Nature Biológico, Casa de Santo Amaro Clássico, Casa de Santo Amaro Selection, and In Memoriam by Casa de Santo Amaro.

Casa de Santo Amaro olive oils can be called Quinta Olive Oils, since everything from olive production to extraction, packaging, and marketing of the final product is done on the farm, thus integrating them into the Farm-to-Table concept. Throughout the year, the team tends the Casa's olive trees, harvesting the olives in late October, and extracting the oil from their own mill. Storage and packaging are done in-house, on the family's own premises, and the family believes in no other way to produce high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil, considering it "pure juice from fresh, healthy olives."

Over the past 15 years, the company has won over 300 international and national awards, some of which have come from the world's most prestigious and prestigious competitions, including the Mário Solinas Competition in Spain; the New York International Petroleum Competition in the USA; the Olive Japan IOOC in Japan; the EVO IOOC in Italy; the TERRAOLIVO IOOC in Israel; and the Ovibeja Competition in Portugal.

«In the last 15 years, we have won more than 300 international and national awards.»

Maintaining tradition means perpetuating a unique flavor and the quality of a truly luxurious product over time. Harvest after harvest, Casa de Santo Amaro continues to maintain the quality of its olive oils, and in the short term, it plans to add new olive oils to the brand's portfolio, sourced from centuries-old olive groves and featuring different varieties.
