Immerso Hotel – O luxo de sentir a terra, o mar e o tempo

Immerso Hotel – The luxury of feeling the earth, sea and time

In Ericeira, where the Atlantic sets the pace of daily life and the landscape prevails without embellishment, Immerso presents itself as an invitation to focus on life’s essentials. The first five-star hotel in the town, it lies tucked away in a green valley, in perfect harmony with nature, reimagining the concept of luxury: walking barefoot, breathing deeply, and simply slowing down. Here, true refinement can be found in sensory simplicity and harmony between the place and the people who inhabit it, even if only for a few days.
Located in a protected natural setting, Immerso is distinguished by its earthy colour palette, organic textures, and discreet volumes that respect the morphology of the land. In the distance, the sea complements the experience and accompanies moments of deep relaxation, between the silence of the landscape and the peaceful power of the Atlantic. This is a hotel in which to feel, linger and breathe – a refuge where everything seems to be exactly where it should be.

With just 37 rooms arranged throughout four accommodation areas integrated into the valley, Immerso values exclusivity and direct contact with the outdoor environment. Greenery surrounds every space, enhancing the feeling of seclusion and tranquillity. Two restaurants, a swimming pool, bar, spa and organic garden complete a line-up in which service is attentive yet relaxed, and comfort is achieved without excess.
Nature is an integral part of the project’s vision: the unobstructed view of the sea, the sunset that transforms the late afternoon into a daily ritual, and people gathering around the fire, designed as a space for sharing and creating memories. These are experiences that remain deeply ingrained long after you return to the daily grind. Less than an hour from Lisbon, Immerso allows you to enjoy the landscape of Ericeira in a peaceful, secluded and balanced way.
The architectural design, by Tiago Silva Dias, was developed in harmony with the spirit of location. The project combines natural values and construction, integrating into the landscape through principles of environmental sustainability tailored to local climatic conditions. The result is a series of volumes dispersed across the slopes and eye-catching buildings at the highest points, in a contemporary interpretation of southern Iberian architecture.
Divided into four blocks that emerge from the ridges of the valley, the hotel is surrounded by vegetation. The swimming pool takes up the top of one of the blocks, accompanied by the bar, while further down the fire pit area hosts memorable culinary moments, where flavours and aromas intermingle with the crackling of the flames.

The interiors also reflect this intimate relationship with nature. Curated by its owner, Alexandra Almeida d’Eça, and in collaboration with designer Bárbara Neto (LemonVariance), the spaces have been designed using a pared-down palette of materials – exposed concrete, wood, iron and mineral colours – creating contemporary, calm environments that are deeply rooted in the natural context. Works by Portuguese artists, such as panels by Iva Viana, handcrafted rugs by SUGO CORK RUGS and pieces by Oficina 166, reinforce the distinctive and artisanal feel of the project.

The choice of dining options reflects the same philosophy of being mindful, local, and organic. With input from Michelin-starred chef Alexandre Silva from LOCO, Immerso serves Atlantic cuisine that is deeply intertwined with the region. At the more sophisticated EMME restaurant, the Oeste region is interpreted through an international, delicate, and democratic technique, where local produce takes centre stage. EMME on Fire, on the other hand, offers a more spontaneous and communal outdoor experience, based around the fire and traditional techniques, celebrating sharing and conviviality.

Working closely with local producers, sourcing fish daily from Peniche fish market and making the most of ‘Portugal’s largest fruit and vegetable garden’, as the chef likes to call the Oeste region, turns the whole gastronomic concept into a destination in its own right. The hotel’s organic fruit and vegetable garden has already started supplying the kitchen and will grow with the seasons and the creativity of the team.

Wellness

The spa at Immerso is a natural extension of the hotel’s philosophy: a space for rest, regeneration and rebalancing. The spa features a sauna, steam bath, sensory bath and three treatment rooms, one of which is specially designed for couples. The approach is holistic and tailored to each guest’s individual needs, combining Eastern and Western techniques.

Signature treatments include the Immerso Therapeutic Experience, the Decontracting Massage for Surfers – with Cannabis Sativa oil and Vitamin E –, the Powerful Regenerating Exfoliation and the Wave Wrap, which uses grey clay from the Portuguese coast. The Premium Ignae treatments take the experience to the next level, with rituals such as the Digital Detox for Body and Mind or the Immunity Boost Hot Stone Massage, designed to restore energy, focus and deep well-being. The sustainable brand from the Azores emphasises the natural and organic dimension of the spa.
This selection is further complemented by a gym, areas dedicated to yoga and the opportunity to explore the surrounding landscape on foot or by bike. At Immerso, luxury is experienced without haste, barefoot and in perfect harmony with nature.
