Aston Martin is celebrating 50 years of the Volante – the iconic name for its convertible Grand Tourers – with special versions of the DB12 and of the Vanquish, developed by the Q by Aston Martin customisation division. Occupying the top spot in Aston Martin’s range of convertibles, the Vanquish Volante grabs your attention with its formidable 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine. Delivering an extraordinary 835 PS and 1000 Nm of torque, it propels this two-seater convertible to a top speed of 214 mph and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Aston Martin’s fastest and most powerful production convertible to date, the Vanquish Volante is the zenith of raw performance and presence, designed for those who demand uncompromising exhilaration and exclusivity.

Equipped with a hand-built 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine, the 2+2 seat DB12 Volante redefines what it means to be a grand tourer. With 680 PS and 800 Nm of torque, it strikes an uncompromising balance between pulsating dynamism, unmatched ride comfort and ultra-luxury refinement. With a top speed of 202 mph and 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, the DB12 Volante is an icon of versatility and sophistication – created for those who seek breath-taking performance and everyday usability in an open-top masterpiece.
The Volante name was first introduced in 1965 with a model now known as the ‘Short Chassis Volante’ – one of the rarest Aston Martins ever produced, with only 37 units built in a single year. Since the inception of the Volante, the name has been applied to several Aston Martin convertibles – for those seeking the sensory thrills of driving with the roof down. The Vanquish and DB12 Volante benefit from lightweight K-fold roofs, featuring exceptional design and brilliant packaging solutions to maximise boot capacity, refinement, swift operation and striking aesthetics. Opening takes just 14 seconds and closing is completed in 16 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph.
Both models feature exclusive specifications created by Aston Martin’s bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin. Inspired by the rich heritage of the British marque, the editions showcase unparalleled artistry through design, rare materials and elegant finishes.
Finished in Q Pentland Green paint and Q Westminster Green bonnet, the exterior of the 60th Anniversary of Volante editions is defined by understated confidence and meticulous detail. Anodised bronze accents enhance the silhouette, creating a car that doesn’t just honour six decades of the Volante, but also leads its class with undeniable presence and elegance.
