Montblanc and Ferrari - Handwritten speed
Share
The elegance of design and the rush of speed are brought together in a collaboration that celebrates craftsmanship and self-expression: Montblanc and Ferrari present a special edition of the Meisterstück Great Masters Ferrari Tailor Made Classica, the first in a trilogy inspired by the Ferrari Tailor Made customisation programme. This exclusive collection interprets the Italian brand’s design codes for the world of fine writing, creating a bridge between the sound of a roaring engine and the hand gesture that brings words to life.
Inspired by the legendary Ferrari GTs of the 1950s and 1960s, the Classica edition pays tribute to an era in which automotive design and engineering pushed the boundaries. The details reflect this timeless spirit: mahogany inlays, platinum-plated finishes and a grille motif reminiscent of the steering wheel grip of the classic models. The iconic ‘Cavallino Rampante’ is discreetly integrated into the barrel, while the Montblanc emblem on the top of the cap, in Modena yellow, is a reminder of the birthplace of the Ferrari legend.

The mahogany barrel, precision-crafted and inlaid with a black lacquer insert, recalls the wooden steering wheel of vintage GTs. The cross-hatch pattern on the cone and top of the cap, finished in platinum, recreates the metallic texture of the original spokes. Every detail is a tribute to the functional beauty and artisanal tradition that unite the two houses.
This new creation builds on the partnership that began in 2021 with the Great Characters Enzo Ferrari edition, followed in 2023 by the Stilema SP3 concept, inspired by the Ferrari Daytona SP3, and then resumed in 2025 with the relaunch of the iconic Great Characters Enzo Ferrari ‘Giallo Modena’. Montblanc and Ferrari now return to celebrate customisation and savoir-faire, reaffirming their shared commitment to art, precision and timeless design.
The Ferrari Tailor Made programme, which inspired the Meisterstück Great Masters trilogy, entices customers to create unique automobiles, guided by three design universes – Classica, Inedita and Scuderia. The Classica edition inaugurates this trilogy with an aesthetic that takes a fresh look at Ferrari’s glorious past, reinterpreting it with modern technologies and the artisanal touch of Montblanc.

The nib of the Meisterstück Great Masters Ferrari Tailor Made Classica Special Edition, in solid Au 750 gold coated with rhodium, is a work of precise craftsmanship and artistry. Engraved with the Montblanc emblem on a textured grid circle, it evokes the spirit of collaboration between the two brands – a meeting between the tradition of writing and precision automotive engineering.

As with all great creations from Ferrari, each pen is an object of desire, in which functionality and aesthetics coexist in perfect balance. Whether on wheels or on paper, Montblanc and Ferrari share the same philosophy: that of turning human gestures into sublime expressions of individuality and excellence.
Available in fountain pen and rollerball versions, the Montblanc Meisterstück Great Masters Ferrari Tailor Made Classica Special Edition can be found in selected Montblanc and Ferrari boutiques around the world, as well as on the official Montblanc website.
