Italian elegance transformed into space in Lisbon

The opening of the Molteni&C flagship showroom in Lisbon is the result of my deep admiration for the brand and, in many ways, part of my own story. Nine years ago I moved to Lisbon and began witnessing the city’s transformation: the evolution of architecture, the appearance of new interiors, and the growing presence of international clients and investors. It became clear that Portugal was entering the European context of contemporary design and that the market was becoming more discerning. There was a need for brands that offered more than furniture, brands that could bring a complete vision for shaping a space. Molteni&C has always represented exactly that, uniting design, architecture and advanced industrial craftsmanship. Founded in 1934, Molteni&C has grown from a small family business into one of the most influential names in global design. Collaborations with Vincent Van Duysen, Patricia Urquiola, Ron Gilad and many others strengthened the idea of integrated living, a coherent and functional way of creating architecture through interiors. Bringing Molteni&C to Lisbon felt like a natural step. The Portuguese market is moving towards the premium segment. Architects increasingly work with international clients. Clients are looking for complete solutions rather than isolated pieces. Lisbon was ready for our official Molteni&C showroom, joining cities such as New York, Milan, London, Paris, Shanghai and Amsterdam where the brand is already present. Turning this idea into reality required effort and precision. Finding the right space was essential, and I knew it had to be on Avenida da Liberdade. We adapted the interior to Molteni&C standards, coordinated numerous meetings with architects and technical teams, and built a professional team capable of supporting large and complex projects. I am very demanding with every project I take on, and it was important to me that everything matched the vision I had. The result is a showroom where people naturally want to stay longer. It is not simply a furniture store. It is a space where design becomes part of each client’s personal story. Every day we develop projects for homes and villas, find unique solutions for architects, and show clients that furniture can be an integral part of architecture. We follow every detail, from the choice of materials to the final installation. For us, Molteni&C represents a way of living built on aesthetics, comfort and innovation. This project is also a reflection of my own values, a philosophy I am proud to share.
