Camilo Rebelo, Arquiteto - Entre dois!

Camilo Rebelo, Architect - In Between

Architecture and its dimensions reach an elevated condition when in full harmony with nature. This dialogue must take place at every moment, throughout the entire space. Natural light, geometry, and material should simultaneously create a choreography in which the senses are carried and heightened. It is not only about seeing, but about feeling time, silence, and permanence inscribed within the built matter.

Architecture invites nature. In this sense, it must create the conditions for it to feel naturally at home, like the wind in the houses of Abarkooh in Iran. Excellence lies in achieving a higher level of comfort without domesticating the natural conditions of a place, but rather interpreting and amplifying them. The project emerges from this attentive listening, where the territory ceases to be merely a support and becomes an active agent in the construction of space.

Architecture must live in time, and this time, unfolding at every moment, is both a physical and spiritual record; it is an opportunity to relate, simultaneously, the self and the world that moves ever faster beyond the window. Between interior and exterior, between permanence and transformation, architecture constructs this interval—a place where one may still recognize oneself.

Within this “in-between” resides the possibility of a more conscious architecture, where each constructive gesture is also a cultural act, and each space a form of resistance to the indifferent speed of the contemporary world.
