The ninth edition of Saborea Lanzarote wine and gastronomic Festival, considered the most important in the gastronomy sector of the Canary Islands that attracts thousands of visitors, among inhabitants, local and numerous tourists ,will take place on the 23rd and 24th November, in the central square of villa de Teguise of that Spanish island. During those days, Lisbon will make a leap to the event, since it is the invited city. The Portuguese capital will be represented by chefs Marlene Vieira (restaurante Panorâmico and Mercado da Ribeira), João Sá (Sála restaurant), André Magalhães (Taberna da Rua das Flores) and Bertílio Gomes (Chapitô à Mesa and Taberna Albricoque), which will serve typical dishes of the city as well as creations of their own, to all visitors. Aloma Pastry will also be present and will surely leave visitors surrendered to their famous pastéis de nata. Furthermore, chef Henrique Sá Pessoa (Alma restaurant), will give a presentation of his kitchen. In order to promote Lanzarote as an authentic and original gastronomic tourism destination, Saborea Lanzarote has its focus on local products, creating tourism experiences linked to gastronomy and viticulture, disseminating the best products of the Island. This way, the event has a very complete programme with several activities dedicated to these topics In 2018, the event had 20,000 visitors and more than 100 exhibitors, including restaurants, totalling almost 200,000 served tastings.
