Built in the 15th century, the Convento da Luz will soon be reborn, with a five-star hotel and tourist apartments set
to arrive. Located in Borba, in the Alentejo, the future luxury tourist
development will be called Grand Vista Hotel Wellness & Winery and
will include a wellness spa, tourist units, a swimming pool, vineyards and
olive tree and cork oak plantations. All on a 14-hectare plot of land.
According to Remax Collection, the company in charge of sales and marketing the
development, renovation work is scheduled for the last quarter of 2025.
The Convento da Luz used to belong to the House of
Braganza, and became private property in 1834.
