Five years
have passed since that fateful day on June 17, when Pedrógão Grande was reduced
to ashes. The fire took 66 lives, joining the many destroyed homes and dashed dreams.
This tragedy has gone beyond the country's borders and proof of this is the
documentary produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, which tells the story of the
community of survivors of Pedrógão and the struggle to ensure that what they
experienced is never repeated. From Devil’s Breath is a short
documentary film, lasting 40 minutes, which will be available on the streaming
platform Peacock and, for a few days, in NOS cinemas, in a total of 24 screenings.
Part of the ticket price will go to a reforestation project. The documentary
has already been presented at the Palm Springs Film Festival and even at
the United Nations Conference, in the context of climate change.
