Peru has been named the best cultural and gastronomic
destination in the world at this year’s World Travel Awards, beating
competitors such as Spain, Cuba, Vietnam and Cambodia. The nomination as the
world’s best cultural destination is the second time Peru has been recognised
for its gastronomic potential. The country of the Incas thus receives yet
another opportunity to continue boosting Peruvian tourism, which has already
won significant awards over the years.
