Closed for works since 2019, the Soares dos Reis National Museum opens its doors to the public with a new exhibition that develops throughout 27 rooms. Set to last for a decade, the show presents two narratives in parallel, one in which artists, movements and their works are represented, and another in which the collection serves as a support to tell the story of the Oporto institution, ever since its foundation with King Pedro IV, to the post-April 25 period. This is a new circuit that passes 1133 pieces, through which artistic currents and, at the same time, turning points in history are represented.
