Marco Teixeira believes that comfort is not to be found in trivial wealth, rather in finesse, in rareness, concepts that he embraces alongside perfectionism and reasons for which his clients entrust him with the architecture and interior design projects for their houses or business premises. In fact, it is these very people, who, because they are of different nationalities, inspire him and help to shape his eclectic ‘style’, as it is based on different cultures, and always customised, because it is adapted to the way each of them are and how they live.

This 500-sqm property can be found in Lisbon. Its prime location, with breathtaking views over the Portuguese capital, and the fact that it stands within a luxurious private condominium, with unique and exclusive quality standards, have made this apartment a blank canvas just waiting to receive Marco Teixeira’s stamp. Despite being new, the clients wanted a more personal approach with materials out of the ordinary. Marco Teixeira redefined and reinvented the space, making it more functional and customising it according to the family’s modus vivendi. The architecture and interior design project was developed with these requirements in mind, with a new layout and using premium materials, such as exotic woods, exclusive marbles and metals, such as oxidized brass and polished stainless steel. Appliances and fixtures from premium brands and of exceptional characteristics were chosen to furnish the kitchen and bathroom areas.
With regard to the interior design, the FORWARD studio created cosy, elegant and sophisticated atmospheres, in which refinement and care for details make all the difference. Fabrics made with natural fibres, such as cashmere, silk and linen, and the choice of other premium materials are combined with pieces of furniture designed by Marco Teixeira, in addition to design and art icons from the 1940s. The entrance hall, the apartment’s calling card, boasts highlights such as exclusive New Saint Laurent marble, the unique grey mirror in the ceiling, the ebony doors and other elegant details. But the surprise is repeated in every area of the house, from the social to the private area, full of exclusive and distinctive details that combine functionality and comfort with sophistication, art and, above all, a timeless elegance.
