The bucolic landscapes of the Alentejo serve as a backdrop, while also entering indoors, so blurred is the border between interior and exterior. White concrete, glass and wood are the prevailing raw materials and almost everything else is the green of the garden and the pine forest in various shades. Not knowing the end user proved the main challenge for architecture firm RMS Arquitetos, but this fact did not prevent the project of a house in Muda Reserve - Village Farms project (by Vanguard Properties), in the village of Muda, Comporta, from being harmonious, combining simplicity, contemporary architecture, the quiet of the pine forest… and the beach, so nearby!
Each space in this house is intended to be as relaxed as it is private, as refined as it is simple.
With an area of approximately 500 sqm, the house is made of courtyards that define accesses and movement, configuring living areas protected to varying degrees. On the upper floor, a simply supported volume, with a courtyard below it, houses the master bedroom, the roof before it stretching out like a garden. Each space in this house is intended to be as relaxed as it is private, as refined as it is simple. And whoever the end user is, they will certainly have good taste, they will enjoy experiencing the bucolic simplicity of the Alentejo and the proximity of the Atlantic coast, but they will prioritise comfort, quality and distinction.
