The natural silk produced by hand in Freixo de Espada à Cinta, in the district of Bragança – the only territory on the Iberian Peninsula where silk is still 100% handmade –, is beginning to be used as a basis for new garments from the hands of fashion designers, placing their confidence in this unique product. The municipality states that garments made of this material have already been part of some fashion productions in speciality magazines and is currently investing in the promotion and sale of products in natural silk through the yoursilk.pt virtual shop, created for this purpose.
