The machine-washable suit was released roughly a year ago and it is a sales success. After developing a new wool fabric that doesn’t require dry-cleaning, Hugo Boss, always breaking rules and innovating, created the Washable Suit, a suit that can be washed either by hand, or in the washing machine. Jacket and trousers can be washed together or separately, but not with other pieces. To ensure success in the wash, the brand recommends the delicate cycle of the washing machine and hot water to 30ºC. To dry, the set just needs to be hung still wet, in a hanger. It can be ironed with the iron to delicate or wool settings. The jacket and the trousers are sold separately, but they can be used together or with other pieces. Available in three different fabrics, the Washable Suit has no lining and the jacket has softer shoulders, more deprived backs and a reduced internal structure. The trousers have a softer waistband to improve comfort. Each fabric has been developed and tested to withstand the effects of the water and the washes. To show its convenience, Joseph Schooling, the Olympic swimming champion (Singapore), was chosen to be the face for the launch of the model.
