Headquartered in Porto, NYCOLE is a menswear brand inspired by the universe of classic men's clothing and details on sportswear and streetwear. It was founded by Tânia Nicole, a young woman who began her fashion training in Lisbon, at Magestil Professional School. She later moved to Porto, where she completed her bachelor's degree in fashion Design at ESAD Matosinhos, and subsequently a master degree in product-fashion. In 2015, after winning several national and international awards, she presented her collection on the Sangue Novo platform at ModaLisboa, where she was awarded the FASHIONCLASH prize. After this award, she was invited to present her collection in Maastricht, Holland. Currently her collections are presented at Bloom platform in Portugal Fashion.
Persona, NYCOLE FW19’s collection, has as its starting point «Persona», DJ Rival Consoles’ techno/minimal album. The album personifies persona’s exploitation, the difference between what we see of ourselves and how the others see us. This album personifies the search for our own identity. The collection is also influenced by the universe of football, a sport that symbolizes multiculturalism, the collective spirit and the union among supporters. White, orange, green dry, grey and black are the predominant colours of the season, either as a full look or as contrasting notes.
