Paris Design Week is back for its 9th edition and will celebrate design venues in the French capital. Professionals, designers and the general public are invited to this annual event, organized in synergy with the Maison & Objet Fair, which will be held from 6th to 10th September. If the latter is reserved for professionals in the area (brands, designers, decorators, architects, journalists, etc.), Paris Design Week is open to the public and to all design enthusiasts. Every year, almost 100,000 visitors participate in this event that this year happens from 5th to 14th September, in showrooms and shops, art galleries, workshops, museums, but also in more unlikely places, such as restaurants and hotels. If last year the Lebanese creation was highlighted during an exhibition at the Bensimon Gallery, this year the program is based on the theme «Hybrid», celebrating the art of blending, in the world of design and architecture, manufacturing techniques, materials or know-how. In addition to this theme, an exhibition on «Work!», Maison & Objet’s motto, will also be organised. Sustainable development will also take place prominently. For the first time, the Festival Traversées du Marais, from 6th to 8th September, will be part of this 9th edition. The Festival takes participants on a journey through emblematic venues in the Marais district, including the Swiss Cultural Centre, the Swedish Institute or the Cultural Institute of Mexico. In September, the Marais will also have the colours of the Italian flag, with LE BHV MARAIS, Eataly Paris Marais and the A Rebours store, celebrating the transalpine art of life.
