The first watch of Lo Scienzato collection was released in 2010 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Galileo Galilei’s celestial observations. This model, whose mechanics and design have evolved continuously for almost a decade, comes on the scene to reaffirm an extroverted character through its dominant presence. Unmistakable, and in spite of being fully renovated, the new Luminor Tourbillon GMT presents itself today as one of Panerai Laboratorio di Idee’s most challenging projects. The Luminor Tourbillon GMT-Lo Scienziato reasserts itself with a titanium box level 5, polished by sandblasting and a pronounced gradient. In contrast to this monochrome spectrum, the military green dial plays an important role. All eyes turn to the disc around the floating numbers, the little second dial, the 24 hour counter and the power reserve indicator.
The powerful identity of the Luminor Tourbillon GMT is transmitted immediately and unequivocally thanks to its calibre p. 2005/T, a mechanical hand-wound movement with GMT function, presented by Panerai for the first time in 2016. The bracelet is grey crocodile and has a titanium buckle, but this magnificent model is delivered with a second black Velcro belt with anthracite seam and a titanium buckle.
