Due to the technical
innovations it featured, it was considered the most precise mechanical
chronograph in the world, capable of measuring tenths of a second. It was unveiled
on January 10, 1969, but the story of this high-frequency star continues into
the present and into the future. Zenith’s El
Primero celebrates its 50th anniversary and the watch brand is
offering fans a birthday commemorative box with three chronographs with
emblematic counters: a faithful reissue of the first El Primero model from 1969; a Chronomaster
El Primero with optimised movement; and a Defy El Primero 21 to 1/100th of a second. This trilogy edition
limited to 50 pieces combines high frequency in various tempos.
In this commemorative edition, the box features a fourth empty cushion reserved for the future El Primero, of very high frequency, able to measure milliseconds. The brand undertakes to deliver within the coming years, in an edition limited to 50 pieces, its next star, giving priority to those who bought the trilogy set.
