Toyota Woven City is the first big company real estate development in Japan, located at the foot of Mount Fuji. The project, developed in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation, is the world's first urban incubator focused on the development of mobility strategies. Aiming for a future in which society will be carbon neutral, the intervention proposes a connected city, which has a new balance between vehicles, alternative forms of mobility, people and nature. Using solar, geothermal and hydrogen energy, the city, which will begin construction in 2021, creates a «flexible network of streets dedicated to different transport modals for safer and easier connections to pedestrians».
