Women in the world of architecture

When we talk
about the presence of women in the world of architecture, we immediately
associate it with the issue of gender equality. But that’s not what we need to
think about! The important thing is to understand and reflect on how women
experience and design spaces; to interpret their view of social reality, the
world and cosmopolitanism.
Architecture has undergone considerable changes throughout the years, and the female perspective has contributed a great deal to changing paradigms that are, for the most part, subject to social conventions.
Being a woman in architecture doesn’t necessarily have a negative connotation; on the contrary, their work has contributed, on a large scale, to a highly positive balance.
The constructive work and interaction between men and women in the field of architecture only adds to sublimity to the spaces, which come to be seen from different perspectives, but which ultimately converge towards artistic creation.
As such, and in the context of modern society, architecture can only gain from the creative symbiosis between men and women in terms of production, development and execution, which involves all the technical activity of creation. We might call it an adapted interaction or even a sine qua non condition, almost an imperative, which has art and the common good as its ultimate goal, were it not, as is well known, that architecture is a multidisciplinary area of activity and that it has a basic social function. Society is fully aware of the evolution of women in architecture in terms of ideas, projects and works, the quality of which is unquestionable. Indeed, men and women often exchange and reverse roles, not least because each acquires new knowledge, and what should result is nothing more than a proficient dialogue to achieve the most beautiful aspects of architecture. That which will inexorably remain throughout the ages and will live on! This is and will be an art with its own value, made by men and women of the world! What really matters is the conscious production of art and that it stands out for the emotional and aesthetic value it provokes in anyone who observes it!
