In COLD MIND, a thrilling intersection of technology, crime, and opulent living, the Algarve morphs effortlessly into a stand-in for California, housing the fictional life of the show’s central character, Nik Lomas. One standout example is Sky Base One – a spaceship-inspired villa overlooking the ocean, situated in Carvoeiro, Lagoa and serving as Nik’s private California residencein the TV series.
Nik, a tech genius researching artificial intelligence, drives a luxurious Aston Martin Valour – an exclusive model that complements his sophisticated yet daring persona. These driving scenes, set against the backdrop of what appears to be the Californian coast, were filmed along the pristine roads of the Algarve, further showcasing the region’s versatility and scenic beauty.
Throughout the production, more than a dozen locations across the Algarve – from Tavira in the east to Lagos in the west – provided a diverse range of settings that elevated the show’s visual impact.
