In the interests of environmental protection, the Hotel Dolce CampoReal, which is located in midst the protected Socorro and Archeira mountains, considered one of the 100 most sustainable destinations in the world by Green Destinations, has forbidden the use of plastic bottles on the golf course, after removing plastic bottles in the hotel, restaurants, bars and meeting rooms. In order make the change easier, golfers are provided upon check-in and at the pro shop with an aluminium bottle that can be used on the course and refilled. 

The 18-hole par 72 golf course – which has contributed to the hotel’s nomination for Best Golf Hotel in Portugal for the last two years at the World Golf Awards –, develops over hills, valleys and vineyards of the Serra do Socorro and Archeira, in Portugal’s Oeste region. The course was designed by Donald Steel and provides players with practice equipment, a professional golf academy, individual and group lessons, a driving range (two main tees, two chipping greens and two putting greens), pro shop, clubhouse and exclusive lounge.
It has already hosted renowned tournaments, such as the Ladies Portugal Open, which was part of the Ladies European Tour, but also offers ideal conditions for those who have recently discovered the pleasures of golf.
