More than 4,500 years of history. Stories of kings and queens. Of tradition and war. Stories that date back to ancient Greece. But today, the story we want to share is different. Authentic and colourful, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, we find Costa Navarino, a place full of attractions, palaces, medieval castles... a wide range of attractions to explore. A breath-taking destination. And right there, just a few kilometres from the centre, lies The Bay Course, a golf course whose landscape speaks for itself.
An 18-hole course with an exclusive design. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., who sought to maintain the archaeological heritage of years of history discovered during its construction. The course stretches for more than two kilometres along the magnificent seafront, with inspiring views of Navarino Bay. A place of natural beauty. Amidst the landscape of olive groves (more than a thousand were planted, some more than 500 years old), citrus groves and green spaces, several holes run along the coast overlooking the sea.
The wide fairways and bunkers make this course an exciting challenge. The playing areas are extensive and sometimes the sea breeze makes the round even more rousing. Most of the tees offer a sublime view of the sea. There are a total of four Par 5 holes, with the 7th considered the most difficult. Only by being cautious and maintaining maximum concentration can you hope to see the green, which is extremely undulating.
The Bay Course offers many challenges and an idyllic setting. Even if you’re not an experienced player, you can always improve your game with the help of The Navarino Golf Academy team. There is also a golf simulator and short and long game practice areas.
