For the third year in a row, Penha Longa Resort hosts Portugal’s Marriott International Beneficiary Race/Walk, which this year’s funds will help baby Pedro who lives in the Exército de Salvação Institution in Portela de Sintra, so that he can receive the special supervision he needs. The solidarity sports event, created in 2017, takes place every year and aims to gather the maximum number of running and walking lovers at Penha Longa, in order to raise funds to help a child/young person living in a social solidarity institution. As host and organizer of this event, Marriott International affirms its willingness and availability to invest and be increasingly linked to solidarity causes. Although the largest distance is 10 km, there is no need to run or walk this far, since there are options for all different tastes and physical conditions. There are challenges for adults and children and entertainment for the little ones. The event will take place on November 9th (Saturday) and will begin at Penha Longa Resort (Monastery), Estrada da Lagoa Azul, Linhó (Sintra), at ten in the morning.
